Organized by AseBio, the Spanish Bioindustry Association, and the City Council of Salamanca through Abioinnova and Salamanca Tech, the 6th edition of the AseBio Green Innovation Forum highlights the role of biotechnology as a key driver in the transition towards a more sustainable, climate-neutral and competitive economic model.
The Green Innovation Forum is closely aligned with the emerging bioeconomy sector , positioning biotechnology—particularly food, agri-biotech and industrial biotechnology—as a strategic enabler for sustainable growth, food security and industrial transformation. The event showcases Spain’s strong commitment to science, innovation and applied biotechnology, connecting research and innovation with industrial sectors that generate high economic and social impact.
The AseBio Green Innovation Forum offers a unique opportunity to explore how biotechnology is already delivering solutions to major global challenges, from sustainable food systems and resilient agriculture to bio-based products, circular processes and climate adaptation. It gathers industry leaders, startups, academia, investors and public institutions to foster dialogue, collaboration and knowledge exchange. The rising Agrifoodtech sector is one of the major highlights of the 2026 with a tasting of innovative products at the end of the programme.
The programme will feature a curated agenda of conferences, panel discussions and business meetings, addressing the most relevant trends and developments in green biotechnology and the bioeconomy. Discussions will focus on medium- and long-term challenges such as climate change, sustainable agri-food production, industrial decarbonisation and the scale-up of bio-based innovations.
Business development and investment generation are central to the Forum. Participants will have access to a dedicated partnering platform, enabling automated one-to-one meetings among attendees, as well as opportunities to showcase innovative projects through pitch sessions, facilitating connections between technology providers, corporates and investors.
